Meet Jevona
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jevona like many northerners, fell in love with the Lowcountry and opted for country living. She has lived in Beaufort County for over 20 years. She is the wife of a disabled veteran and proud mother of three. Throughout her children’s schooling she has volunteered, served on many committees and policy councils. In 2021, she organized the Beaufort Hurricanes AAU Basketball Team.
She is also an educator. She has an associate’s degree in early childhood education and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in African- American Studies.
Her love for community propels the desire to work even further and be a voice to ensure District 1 receives what it needs and deserves.
Key Priorities
IMPROVING LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE
I will advocate for the maintenance and improvement of our roads, local public transit routes, essential services like nearby pharmacies, and healthy foods by way of a food
co-op.
PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
I will champion initiatives that protect our environment and promote sustainable practices including reliable trash pick-up and residents having access to our convenience centers. I want to ensure that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of our area.
ENCOURAGING HEALTHY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I will strengthen our district by working with and assisting agencies that promote health initiatives, programs for children, families and the elders. I want to ensure we stay connected and the information and resources are properly filtered to our community.
District 1 includes parts of Yemassee, SC all the way to parts of Burton, SC. It is one of the larger districts in our county. Not sure what district you live in? Make calls to potential voters to share information and encourage them to vote.
Help organize and run campaign events, from setting up venues to greeting attendees

Share Jevona Armstrong’s posts, updates, and events on your social media accounts to increase visibility.
Talk to friends, family and colleagues about why your support. Encourage them to get involved also.
Distribute materials like flyers, place a yard sign in your yard, wear your campaign t-shirts.
MAKE A DONATION
Donate to help fund campaign activities, advertisements and materials. Every dollar counts and makes a significant impact.
